Preppy Music Video Countdown

Hey I made a music video countdown of sorts to try to drive some traffic to the blog which has the top 10 bands I named the preppiest here . I tried to get a hold of music videos for each artist, but there are some with just the song and pictures.

    avril lavigne? puhleasee : ) Songs like “Girlfriend” kinda detract from that image…

    lol thats why i said some songs, i can’t stand that “girlfriend” song! but she does make some good songs like “keep holding on” and “complicated” which are some what preppy. “girlfriend” is more of a hollister preps song, which btw those type of preps are posers in my book!

    I didn’t like the bands… For a ”teen preppy”, the pop dance sounds more appropriate. These bands seem more punk than preppy… I felt some preppy vibes, and just. I loved the 7 - Kanye W, is more preppy. I hate the 5 - The Summerm Obsession at least EMO + blink 182. If put some band, take the 3 doors down, with a college rock music.

    Point taken. I think The Summer Obsession is definitly emo, but their cover of free falling, and the song Melt the Sugar are far too happy and summery to convey an emo punk feel.

    I’ve been out of the loop with what’s been happening in pop music for a while, but I think Norah Jones probably qualifies for an honorable mention. Diana Krall is another of my recent favorites, though that’s getting into jazz, which could be a list unto itself!
